A semi-recent introduction to me and a list of my fandoms. Some helpful information is also available on my Dreamwidth profile.

This journal ranges from somewhat to mostly friends only. I try to post things publicly when I can but I'm pretty strict about not sharing personal/real-life/identifiable details about myself outside of friendslock.

In case you want some idea of what I tend to post in this journal:

In 2024:
- I posted 27 posts total (an average of 1 every 2 weeks, although my posts were pretty sporadic this year).
- Of those posts, 15 (56%) were friendslocked, while the rest (44%) were public.
- My posts were a mix of real life updates (6 posts - 22%), generally fannish posts (15 posts - 56%), media reviews (reviews of things I watched/read; 5 posts - 18%), and random news/updates (3 posts - 11%).
- Of the real-life posts, 3 were essays about my partner and 2 were about work
- Of the fannish posts:
-- 6 posts (22%) were essays of some kind
-- 5 posts (18%) were memes of some kind, including WIP memes.
-- 4 posts (15%) were about writing/my writing process.
-- 3 posts (11%) were for snowflake_challenge.
- 3 posts (11%) were fairly detailed rants about real life/fandom.

(Not including posts just storing Dear Creator letters I write for exchanges.)

Ahaha this feels kinda weird and stalkery, but I saw your thread on 'strange ships' on Disney Uberland challenge #35, and I just wanted to say that I pretty much ship everything you mentioned! In particular, I thought I was the only one who liked Widow Tweed/Amos Slade when I was little, so that in particular amazed me xD
But yeah, Snow White/Grumpy? Check!
one sided Aladdin/Genie? Check!
Tiana/that random guy on the train? Check! (seems like a cute what if! so curiouss!)
Jiminy Cricket/Blue Fairy? I just watched the movie for the first time in a -while- so this is current in a way as I'm planning to draw a human!jiminy/Blue fairy pic |D. so ya, check!
Baloo and Bagheera I'd probably ship if I watched Jungle Book again, so I'll have to get back to you on that heh, but it seems cute!

bottomline, all these match ups make me wonder what other uncommon disney ships you ship! :D So, if you'd like to be disneyshipperfriends and discuss it, I'd be open to that for suree~ x)

LOL that is a bit random but that's really cool! I post about pretty boring things in this journal, but I'm always up for talking about Disney ships, especially the less common ones! I would really be interested in seeing a human!Jiminy/Blue Fairy pic -- ever since that prompt appeared on disney_kink (I secretly watch that comm), I've been trying to work out a fic for those two in my mind. Haven't had time to write it, but man, it would be epic!

I found your journal when I was googling "HOme on the Range" - I've been slowly working my way through the various Disney animated features and writing them up as I watch them. Since I didn't care for Home on the Range at all, I found your post really interesting because some of the differences in our opinions. I apologize for the late reply! I've been way too scatter-brained to maintain my journal lately. But that's cool! I friended you back. I have an intro post here if you're interested. :) Also, if I can make a friend recommendation, I'd encourage you to friend princessatta too -- she also recently did a marathon watch of all 52 Disney animated features and wrote up her thoughts on them (they're under friend-lock, though). I'm always in awe of your creativity and I love reading your comments on ff_land. (Plus I love your passion and enthusiasm for Disney (to say that had a huge influence on my creativity is a massive understatement) so it's always fun seeing it being appreciated.) That's a great way to analyze your journal activity for the past year - do you do the same thing every year?

It's something I tried out for the first time late last year (2022) -- I had a conversation with someone who found friending people on DW difficult because you might friend someone because of shared fannish interests but only later find out they mostly post arcane RL updates. So I decided I should be upfront about what the ratio is. I did it for my 2021 posts but was keen to get it updated for 2022 once the year ended, so snowflake_challenge gave me a good opportunity to do it in a timely manner, right when the new year rolled around. ^_^
