General request info

I'm chacusha on AO3. I'm requesting art, fic, and podfic for all requests. If you're the kind of person who either wants a lot of detail or just wants a list of pairings to choose from, I've included some lists of ships I like in my letter. However, I've also hidden/collapsed those lists in case you're the type of person who doesn't want to be influenced in any way in picking a pairing. Feel free to expand them or leave them closed as you wish.

For all of these characters, I'm opting in to pairings of the type:

• OT3s/threesomes and moresomes (not requested anyway). The exception is non-con scenarios: I'm OK with 3+ people being involved in a non-con scenario. Works featuring multiple LBD pairings in serial monogamy or "alternate possibilities" fashion are also fine.

Note: There's often a pairing in each fandom that's "OTP" for me (it might be the one I've written a multi-thousand-word manifesto for lmao) -- by this, I just mean it's the ship in the fandom I get most fannish/obsessive about. However, it doesn't mean it's a pairing I find the most interesting/enjoyable, especially when it comes to my Little Black Dress character. I enjoy all sorts of pairings including rare and crack pairs. It really doesn't matter to me which pairing you go with -- I'll enjoy it no matter what.

If you're doing art for a pairing involving a character I'm requesting below, I assure you I will love anything. I just want Content for these characters. Like, just having a requested character standing next to another character from the canon would make me happy! Some other ideas: Cuddling; kissing; blushing. Two characters going on a date/having dinner together. For dark pairings, having one character looming creepily up behind the other is always great, or creepy caresses.

• Bright colors. Saturated pastel colors like in Impressionist art. Limited palette drawings.
• Cute art and chibis.
• Ink drawings or black and white art.
• Stylized art. I especially like art nouveau.
• Symmetry/mirroring. Two characters facing away from each other, for example. Or one right-side up and the other upside-down.
• Gratuitous visual symbolism.
• Characters sparring, especially if they look like they're enjoying themselves.
• References to memes.
• Hurt-comfort scenarios, like one character injured and the other one worried/distraught.
• Flowers.
• Characters with super dramatic / brooding expressions on their faces.

Bravely Default

Alternis Dim (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Pairing DNWs: none.

Alternis is my favorite BD character and he's also sadly loveless at the end of these games. Please rectify the situation. I've literally never read a fic featuring an Alternis pairing where I wasn't like, "OooOOoOoh intrigued!" So like... go crazy. Alternis is also a woobie fave of mine, so if you want to write noncon or something abusive where Alternis just gets hurt a lot, I'm also in favor of that. 👍

Some thoughts on Alternis's pairing potential: Alternis is an asterisk holder and interacts with a lot of other asterisk holders. There's basically a lot of potential for a collegial relationship that becomes something more. He also has a tendency to like... turtle in his armor. Reaching a level of comfort with a character where those barriers come down is very A+. His skillset also specializes in self-sacrifice, so something where he's willing to lay down his life to keep another character safe is also very 👌 and can lead to interesting romantic or loyalty kink scenarios.

Generic prompts:

• Alternis + someone on a (recon?) mission together.
• Trapped together.
• Incidents that happened in Eternia while Alternis was growing up.
• Someone seeing Alternis out of armor for the first time (wound-tending?).

Thoughts on specific pairings

Alternis/Airy: I like the friendship Ringabel and Airy develop in the Pocketbook of R books, so would like to see something like that with Alternis (traveler + fairy sidekick). Or something nonconny when Alternis loses to Airy at the Pillar?

Alternis/Agnès: Being the bodyguard for the pope seems to be a great excuse for bodyguard crush elements. In general, I think Alternis's misanthropic jadedness is a nice contrast to Agnès's devout idealism, especially when it comes to Crystalism. Also, the black/white contrast of their Bravely Second looks! Would love to see something where they have a religious debate and come to respect each other more.

Alternis/Braev: Braev is as good as Edea for loyalty kink stuff, with an extra layer of power differential that would make it hard for Alternis to say no to anything. Prompts: Braev doesn't see Alternis for a while and then realizes his son's grown up. Sex pollen accompanied by guilt/shame on both sides.

Alternis/Edea: So fond of the pining in this relationship that I wrote a whole manifesto. Tl;dr version: pining, loyalty kink, class differences, marriage proposals out of the blue, identity issues, awkwardness. I have some Altdea-centric prompts in my Yuletide letter.

Alternis/Heinkel: Alternis and Heinkel work together as buddy cops in a sidestory. Would like to see more of that. Also, in general, Alternis has some interesting interactions with the Sky Knights, the Council of Six, Einheria, and just a lot of asterisk holders. I'm up for anything.

Alternis/Ringabel: Ah selfcest. The possibilities that open up when you have multiverse shenanigans. I love seeing these two interact and Ringabel's flirtatiousness would really freak out Alternis and it would be super awkward and funny.

Alternis/Tiz: Well I've listed pairings involving the other four Warriors of Light, so... anyway, these two get less interaction, but I think there's still connection -- Tiz being the Boy Who Lived and Alternis having helped save his life, Tiz spending a lot of time in Eternia Central Command while in his coma, etc.

Final Fantasy Tactics

Argath Thadalfus (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)

Ah, Argath, my very problematic fave. I find Argath's consistently fawning attitude toward his social betters and his contempt toward his social inferiors fascinating (especially combined with the downward-moving direction of his own family), and a good opportunity to use relationships to do character study. Like, how does the way he interacts with people reveal things about his psychology and view of the world?

With FFT characters, feel free to use PSX localized names or WotL translation, or your preferred mix of both.

Generic prompts:

• Argath attracted to someone lower down the totem pole and not having any idea how to deal with this attraction.
• Argath trying to impress/suck up to someone higher up on the totem pole; Argath eager to ingratiate himself to more powerful nobles and being willing to do whatever it takes to do that.
• Argath just being a dick toward people and this manifesting in what he's like in a relationship.
• If you want to do a no-death or childhood friends type AU (or setting change/modern AU) to explore his relationship with other characters, go for it!

Thoughts on specific pairings

Argath/Delita: Would love to see them have mutually unsatisfying hatesex lol. Anything enemies to lovers? They have interesting contrasts.

Argath/Dycedarg, Elmdore, or Zalbaag: Same notes here for these three characters -- Argath being a suck-up, or trying to prove himself useful and indispensable, loyalty kink, etc. Anything where nobles are kind of assholes, including to each other.

Argath/any Death Corps member: Here, too, mutual hate makes for some interesting enemies-to-lovers or just straight up darkfic potential. Non-con (Argath nonconning or being nonconned) OK if you want to go that route!

Argath/Ramza: Maybe they grew closer during the journey and had a messy falling out? Or childhood friends AU where they went to school together or something? Or modern AU?

Argath/Tietra: I ship these two! I think their relationshp has such crunchy potential. Like, what if Argath mistook her for a noble and developed a crush on her only to find out she's a commoner? Or some kind of AU (modern, etc.) that captures some of their dynamic but maybe allows the possibility of a happy ending between them?

Rapha Galthena (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Additional opt-in: pairings involving original characters.
Pairing DNWs: none.

Rapha is my favorite FFT character. She is just really sweet and does not deserve all the horrible things that happen to her. Final Fantasy Tactics is also a game that has a really interesting cast of characters that all travel together in a party... and promptly stop interacting with each other once they join said party. No! The people demand more party interactions. The people being me.

Some dynamics that might be interesting for Rapha: Someone else helping her learn to trust and open up again. Someone with a less abusive childhood giving her reality checks or giving her an example of life experiences she can find hopeful and inspiring. Or Rapha bonding with someone over their equally abusive experiences. Rapha's unique skillset and her high faith/low bravery might also be interesting dynamics to play with as well, as is FFT's job system in general.

I'm okay with dark stuff for Rapha (she does have a dark backstory and had a pretty dangerous living as an assassin) but maybe preferably set before she joins the party. After she joins Ramza's party, I prefer she be safe and happy(ier).

I'm also okay with original characters (either in a fluffy or dark pairing) here.

Generic prompts:

• Rapha + someone else go on one of those mission sidequest things you can get at taverns, and it's unexpectedly dangerous?
• Someone helping Rapha learn a new jobclass.
• Rapha has a secret admirer. Who is it??
• Something fleshing out her background as an assassin.

Thoughts on specific pairings

Rapha/Alma: Not sure if they met but Alma is also a lovely character and a younger sister and someone whom I'm always happy to see shipped with people.

Rapha/Barinten (Barrington?): Dark pairing. I'm a big fan of creepy grooming and I could see Barinten doing a lot of creepy grooming here.

Rapha/Marach: Incest as a response to trauma, perhaps? Marach's death reimagined as a romantic thing?

Rapha/Meliadoul: Bonding over their fathers being dicks, their relationship to religion, and/or their relationship to their brothers.

Rapha/Mustadio: I can't tell you much other than I once had a dream featuring this pairing and woke up and was like, hey, that could work. I feel like Rapha's shyness would work nicely with Mustadio's more outgoing personality.

Rapha/Ramza: While Rapha's arc is going down, I get a very "friendship ended with Marach; now Ramza is my best friend" vibe from her interactions with Ramza, where she latches onto him very quickly -- mostly out of desperation rather than any romantic interest, though. But I can see that initial gravitation toward Ramza developing into something closer and romantic over time under a calmer setting.

Rapha/generic party member: The relatively blank personalities of your starter characters means you can make up a dynamic that you think suits Rapha well. 👍

Princess Maker 2

Daughter | Olive Oyl (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Pairing DNWs: Olive/Cube (I actually really like this ship and think it's super cute, but it's the only thing I tend to get when requesting this character so I'm DNWing it here; if you want to feature it as part of a work that contains other love interests for Olive too, I'm up for that! I'm not anti-Olive/Cube, just anti-Olive/Cube-being-the-only-thing-I-get-in-this-exchange).

Me playing this game like a dating sim... Anyway, I think there's a lot of opportunities for romantic plotlines to occur during the course of the game in a bit more detail or with more build-up than there is in the game itself. Or for Olive to get herself into "bad ending" type situations. (I use the name "Olive" here just for convenience, but please feel free to give her whatever name you like instead of Olive/Olive Oyl.)

Generic prompts:

• Olive having a meetcute while going to school, working at a job, participating in the festival, or adventuring.
• A possible ending for Olive: what job does she have and how does that fit with the partner she ends up with?
• Dancing.
• Weddings.

Thoughts on specific pairings

Olive/Dragon Youth: I'm a sucker for puppy love and bashful marriage proposals, so immediately fell in love with the Dragon Youth as a love interest. The fact that the Dragon Youth appears in dragon and human forms is great for hidden identity/Beauty and the Beast style plotlines too. Hanging out as kids/teens and becoming friends/developing affection for each other? Dragon Youth trying and failing to spit out his feelings for Olive?

Olive/Father: I legitimately love that the daughter can end up married to the father who raised her in this game. If you want, you can minimize the creepiness and make them close in age (i.e. the father more like a friend who technically has custody of Olive but doesn't view their relationship as father/daughter). Or go the other way lean all in to the creepiness and grooming of this ship (e.g. the father getting jealous or resentful whenever Olive wears something too sexy, shows interest in someone else, etc.).

Olive/Lucifon: Love this as a dark/corruption ending for her. Olive as a Queen of Darkness is a fun vibe. First meetings? Demon orgy in the desert? Post-canon, what is it like being married to the Prince of Darkness? Does she enjoy it? Or does she come to regret it? Hades and Persephone fusion?

Olive/Prince: I don't recall the prince having much personality in this game (I think an intentional choice to keep him inoffensive), which is probably why I was least invested in this outcome. But that means I'd be interested in something that fleshes him out or makes this relationship more dynamic or interesting.

Olive/any deity: I love human/god pairings lol. Her patron deity gets attached to her or wants to help her in some way? Or a completely different deity gets interested in her somehow?

Olive/any rival: Little me shipped Olive with her rivals, especially Anita and Patricia, but I'm absolutely here if you prefer Marthia or Wendy. In general, I have a soft spot for rivalries that start out mean/antagonistic and develop over the years into the most glowing respect for each other. Sparring? Ballroom dancing in fancy dresses? Rival meets Olive outside of classes/competitions and they hang out together and it's... actually nice? Create an F/F marriage option for this game? A dramatic moment when the rival ends up coming to Olive's aid/standing up for her?

Puyo Puyo

Rulue (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Additional opt-in: Crossover pairings.

Rulue is my favorite character from these games! I like pining themes in fiction and I think Rulue's one-sided crush on Satan (and Minotauros's on her) is fun and also a good jumping off place for either of those ships or for there to be another character Rulue is overlooking because of her single-minded focus, or who acts as a rebound love interest for her. I like Rulue's personality -- I think her impulsive, strong-headed personality makes for interesting interactions and clashes with other characters. Rivalries that have a note of romantic/sexual tension under them? Comedic misunderstandings?

I really like Rulue's design and personality. If you have a character from another media (especially another game or a cartoon, but open to anything here) that you think would go well with her, I am interested! Both ojousama and "martial arts obsessive" type characters tend to be my fave character in all media, so maybe pair her with another such character? Or characters also with blue hair + white clothes? Or your LBD. Open to anything here.

Generic prompts:

• Rulue makes an alliance/teams up with another schemer and ends up falling in love with them.
• Elaborate scheme to win Satan-sama's heart that goes wrong.
• Someone comforts Rulue when she's in a forever alone mood.
• Someone has a crush on Rulue and is secretly pining for her and she just, like, never notices.

Thoughts on specific pairings

Rulue/Arle: I've always really liked these two. The tenderness of two rivals who sometimes work together is very powerful! It always made sense to me that these two might ditch Satan and get together lol. Or that Rulue's rivalry with Arle was covering up attraction. I feel like "trapped together and forced to cooperate" type scenarios work really well for these two.

Rulue/Draco Centauros: I also think the two rivals who are always challenging Arle to ridiculous contests should get together. :) Maybe they develop a rivalry of their own, or they get depressed by getting beaten by Arle and decide to have a relaxation day together.

Rulue/Minotauros: Probably my OTP for this canon -- I welcome any content for this pairing. I don't know if it's obvious from my other ships, but I love a dynamic where one character is constantly making awkward love confessions to another character who never acknowledges their feelings, and Rulue & Minotauros are great for that dynamic lol. Maybe Minotauros sending love letters or trying to do something to cheer Rulue up. Or battle couple sparring, ha!

Rulue/Raffina: I guess unsurprisingly, Raffina is my favorite of the nu!Puyo characters. Some kind of meetcute between them, or Rulue takes Raffina under her wing to mentor her, or they just bond over similar interests or experiences.

Rulue/Satan: I'd love something where she is pining one-sidedly or something where he actually returns her feelings. Maybe like a dream/fantasy she has where they get married or something. Or she's concocting elaborate schemes to get him to fall for her. Or they're in a dangerous situation and have a real talk where Satan finally recognizes her feelings.

Rulue/Schezo: I like their matching loser energy and think they would be great in a relationship for this reason.

Rulue/Seriri: In addition to their matching color schemes, I think the contrast in their personalities is funny -- like maybe shy, timid Seriri tries to confess to the very brash, confident Rulue?

Soulcalibur / Soul Calibur

Seong Mi-na (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Pairing DNWs: Mi-na/Kilik.

Soulcalibur is a series with a lot of larger-than-life characters all having interesting interactions with each other, and Mi-na is one of my faves who I'd always enjoy seeing some odd pairings for.

Some thoughts on Mi-na's pairing potential: Mi-na is a very playful person and I think that gives her an interesting flirty dynamic that goes well with basically everyone. Also, I can definitely see Mi-na as the type of person who would challenge someone to a duel, lose, and then develop a mix of respect and jealousy for said person, which develops into a friendly rivalry and then something more. The number of people this can happen with is quite broad and makes her pretty easily shippable. I also love Mi-na's tomboy characteristics -- her willingness to get dirty and sweaty (while still being gorgeous).

Generic prompts:

• Sparring! It's fun, it's intimate, it's a great chance for things to get physical or touchy-feely. (Also, dueling is Soulcalibur's version of a meetcute.)
• Mi-na traveling with another character and oh no, the inn only has one bed!
• Outfit swaps?
• Someone who Mi-na met on her journey comes to visit her dojang and they get together.
• Mi-na and someone exploring the sights and food of a bustling city.
• SC characters in a modern AU?

Thoughts on specific pairings

Mi-na/Hwang: Awkward arranged marriage, old family friend who you unexpectedly develop a crush on, emotionally repressed guy who still has romantic feelings, rescue romances -- these are all things I love.

I can see Mi-na/Ivy and Mi-na/Xianghua both developing from initial antagonism to friendly rivalries that become something more.

Mi-na/Kong Xiuqiang: That good ol' younger woman/older drunken mentor dynamic! Would love to see them getting closer over time as he trains her and guilt about the age gap.

Mi-na/Maxi: Random rarepair I like. I think their dispositions are a really good match for each other! They're both confident and flirty and I think they'd be up for some fun.

Mi-na/Mitsurugi: If you want to go for a more angsty love (or hatesex)-between-enemies dynamic.

Mi-na/Talim: They traveled together in SCIV and I think they get along well. I can see the playful Mi-na teasing the more serious Talim a lot and getting her flustered.

Mi-na/Yun-seong: Friendly rivalry, playful teasing, interesting age difference, jealousy, etc. I wrote a whole manifesto on this one.

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Quark (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Fandom-specific DNWs: incest (meaning Ishka, Rom, Nog, or Keldar; step-dad Zek and cousin Gaila and any other extended family members are 100% okay with me)
Fandom-specific opt-ins: original characters.
Additional pairing DNWs: none.

Apparently my bicycle for DS9 is... *deep sigh* Quark.

Shipping potential for Quark: Well, Quark generally is a very "down to fuck" kind of character, so one-night stands or a friendship with benefits with any character are highly plausible -- very convenient for PWP. If you don't want to do PWP, though, some other ideas: I like Quark's gift of gab, his skill at witty banter. And for all his attempts to seem like a heartless bastard, he's soft. It would be nice to see him wooing someone or setting up a romantic date night. I love lighthearted, genial flirting and Quark is perfect for that! Just let Quark have a good time. Or a horrible time!

Generic prompts:

• Seduction! (5 times Quark failed to woo someone and 1 time he succeeded??)
• Quark preparing for a date night.
• Height/size difference! Quark is so smol.
• Someone getting to know Quark and realizing there's more to him than just, you know, lust.

Thoughts on specific pairings

Quark/Brunt: God, the "I'm attracted to you but that's taboo so I'm going to bully you instead" vibe Brunt has going on re: Quark is just ridiculous. Some ideas: Either Brunt or Quark becomes Grand Nagus and they make the other service them. Or I'd love to see Quark flirting with Brunt the first time they meet.

Quark/Garak: They have interesting similarities (well-dressed small-business-owners who are sketchy and lie a lot), but also significant differences (Quark doesn't kill people and is in general not at all intimidating). I view them more as odd friends than romantic, but I think they'd both at the least be up for a fling.

Quark/Grilka: Grilka is amazing. I love the way Grilka is menacing and Quark is both terrified and into it? Also, the height difference between these two! Some ideas: Grilka learns/partakes in some Ferengi culture/tradition.

Quark/Jadzia or Quark/Ezri: I like their friendship where Quark is obviously very attracted to her and they have a flirty dynamic! I'd love to see a romance between these two, either building off of Quark and Jadzia's friendship (maybe an AU of "Looking for Par'mach in All the Wrong Places" that ends with Quark/Jadzia and Grilka/Worf? or FUCK Jadzia/Grilka and Quark/Worf??) or something where Ezri ends up with Quark instead of Bashir, or Quark reflecting on things about Ezri that remind him of Jadzia and things that are uniquely her.

Quark/Kira: They'd have such great hatesex. I mean, Quark would be overtly into it, but Kira would be horrorstruck that she's actually sleeping with Quark. Maybe something post-canon where they get together while missing Odo or something.

Quark/Odo: I'm obsessed with this pairing, lol. A manifesto with details on why. Prompt: Anything with these two stuck in a situation together and needing to cooperate while annoying the heck out of each other?

Quark/Pel: He should have given her a chance. I know there's some fix-its out there (they're on my to-read list!), but anyway, I think there's lots of possibilities, whether he gets with her in the episode, meets her again sometime later, meets her through Ishka's feminist campaigning, etc. Or just lots more pining from Pel's POV!

Quark/Quark: Either mirror Quark or a clone or a holosuite character or time travel shenanigans or something. I just find selfcest hilarious.

Quark/Sisko: Like with Pel, I know there are fics out there for this pairing which I do intend to read, but anyway, I can't unsee shippy vibes between these two. I mean, they go camping in the woods together and get captured! I'd love to see either of those scenarios but with more shippiness. Or Sisko cooking for Quark.

Quark/Worf: Similar vibes as being with Kira or Odo. Copying the prompt from the Quark/Jadzia section here: an AU of "Looking for Par'mach in All the Wrong Places" that ends with Jadzia/Grilka and Quark/Worf instead.

Quark/Zek: Consider: Quark sucking up to the Grand Nagus. Even more awkward when Zek starts dating Quark's mom.

Quark/Original character: Lots of people come through Terok Nor/Deep Space Nine -- some scenario where Quark sleeps with one of them. Or an example of successful flirtation! Quark with any of his employees (have sex with the boss!). (I'm fine with noncon, with either Quark noncon-ing or being noncon-ed.)

Sword of Mana

Heroine (LBD/F, LBD/M, LBD/NB, LBD/O)
Pairing DNWs: none.

Well, the Heroine's story in this game involves constantly traveling with a partner that rotates throughout the game, and not sleeping with/having a romantic relationship with a single one! Boo. While the Heroine in Sword of Mana doesn't have an official name (feel free to give her one), she does have a pretty distinctive personality: spunky attitude, brave, and more than a little bit bitter about how Granz Realm has persecuted her clan. The way that personality interacts with other people is interesting.

Some thoughts on the heroine's pairing potential: There are various characters with whom the Heroine has a close, interesting relationship. There are also others who she isn't as close to but she spends significant time adventuring together with them, which seems like a perfect opportunity for them to get closer. And then there are all the villain characters whom she has a delicious tension with (helped by the fact that she gets captured so much in the original game; they made her less damsel-y in this one but she still has a lot of tête-à-têtes with various baddies). There are so many dynamics to work with in this game and so little fic, so the field is wide open here. Same probably goes for the Hero, but to be honest, I'm only familiar with the Heroine's side of the game.

Generic prompts:

• Camping in the wild (forest, cave, whatever) leads to something more.
• Heroine teaching/practicing magic with another character / discussing spirits and their proper care.
• Heroine comparing/contrasting a character with another character she knows, or the opposite -- the Heroine reminding someone of another character.
• Something with Mavolia, maybe? Visiting there, meeting someone from there, delving into the history and relationship between the races, etc.

Thoughts on specific pairings

Heroine/Amanda: They never met? only briefly met? but it would have been cool. If anyone made something romantic with these two, I'd be over the moon.

Heroine/Bogard: Great opportunity for bodyguard crush with the added bonus of only one character knowing it's incest. Add the fact that the Heroine resembles her mother Mana and... boom.

Heroine/Dark Lord: Either a dark pairing (especially considering his persecution of her tribe) or something playing up that dynamic of the heroine wanting to save him.

Heroine/Hero: I like that they both grew up thinking the other died and wallowing in guilt, and then they get to meet! I love their initial bickering dynamic that develops into genuine closeness. (Only for my heart to be stomped on by that ending, ouch.)

Heroine/Isabella: I... definitely got the feeling the heroine was kind of *hearteyes* for Isabella, very quickly developing a respect and concern for her. Maybe something where the heroine tries to convince Isabella not to sacrifice herself for Dark Lord?

Heroine/Julius: Julius just constantly exudes I Have You Now, My Pretty vibes around the heroine. Make him a creeper.

Heroine/Willy: Childhood friends who get reunited after a long time and go on an important mission together! More bodyguard crush!
