What is this?
Some of us are bored and are in need of some Bravely ideas and inspiration. And hey, the 10th anniversary of Bravely Default's release is coming up soon! Hence this prompt meme -- leave some Bravely Default-related prompts, and make some Bravely Default-related fills.

It started innocently enough.
Adelle had shifted into her fairy form so that she might be able to fly and reach the calmagrass beyond a human's reach. Though the others hadn't exactly praised her for her quick thinking and resourcefulness, Elvis had been lost in thought ever since they'd scolded him for putting his life on the line and trying the calmagrass for himself. He'd been tossing her looks here and there, and she was trying to ignore him but well. It was Elvis.
However, that was to be expected. He could be so weird.
What wasn't expected was the way he turned to her later, in the Rimedhal inn. "I never noticed before, but you're so tiny, aren't you?"
"I'm sorry?" she asked, not sure if she should be offended or not. He was so tall , it wasn't fair for him to call anyone else tiny!
"When you shift and go fairy-like," he explained. "You're even smaller than you are as a human."
"Um…" Was that something she should thank him for? She just stared at him, confused. Why was he even bringing this up?
"Even your feet get smaller. No wonder you had problems with shoes as a human."
Ugh. This again.
"Yeah? What about it?" she challenged. He was examining her feet now. She shifted uncomfortably. Months ago, he had brushed aside her comments about having a thing for women's feet, but she still seriously had her doubts. Especially with how interested he seemed to be now, his fingers running over his beard as he leaned in close.
"Hrm…"
"Elvis!" He looked up at her. That's how far he'd leaned in. "A little space here?"
"Right, right." Elvis straightened up, at least.
"Why the interest?" she asked, hands on her hips and still shifting from one foot to the other. He was still looking. "Got a thing for women's feet, after all?"
He glanced at her face and laughed, throwing his head back. Well. Adelle didn't feel flattered at all after that. She made to turn away, to leave him to his weirdness, when his laugh faded and his face grew serious.
And a little embarrassed, which was exceedingly rare for him. He had no shame. She cocked her head at him as he glanced to the side, avoiding her gaze.
"It's not a thing ," he said. Finally admitted his sins, or whatever. Adelle found herself grinning.
"Oh? Then what is it?"
"It's a scholarly interest," he replied, and looked back at her. There was that familiar grin on his face now, all cocky and self-assured. "Let me look at them closer."
"No!" she replied, making a face. Was she about to indulge his special, probably not-at-all scholarly interest?
Apparently yes, because he needled and all but begged, citing his need to know the difference between human feet and fairy feet, and she finally shifted back into her fairy form and hopped onto one of the beds so that she could lift her feet off the floor and to the edge of it. He'd ruin his back if he leaned over too far, after all. If he wouldn't look out for himself, she had to.
Elvis kneeled before her, and she resisted the urge to kick him in the face. "Just get it over with," she begged, praying that Gloria and Seth wouldn't walk in on this, whatever this was.
He glanced up at her. "Take off your shoes, eh?"
Her shoes were more like boots and thigh-high ones at that, but she sighed and relented, reaching up to begin the process of peeling them off and away. He could barely contain his excitement, watching with wide eyes as her legs were revealed bit by bit until the boots were piled off to the side. They weren't quite bare, because she still wore stockings, but Elvis would just have to deal with that - no matter how much he whined and complained, she wasn't getting naked in front of him!
He seemed to accept things either way, taking one of her small feet in hand. "Crikey…"
"What."
"Your feet are tinier than I thought!"
Would he mind if she kicked him? Instead, she flexed her toes, wiggling her foot awkwardly in his gentle grip. He examined it from all angles, up and down, left and right, before moving on to the next. She trusted him not to get too weird with things, but that trust was tentative, her eyes watching his face for any sign that she needed to end things.
Then he tickled the sole of one foot and she found herself giggling beyond her control, then pulling her foot back. "Elvis!"
He grinned up at her. "So fairies are ticklish as well?"
"Of course." What was he expecting?
He hummed to himself, taking one foot back into his hands. "I suppose it makes sense your feet are so tiny then." He pressed the palm of his hand against the sole of her foot, judging the size. "You probably don't use them much, flying about the place as you do."
She wiggled her toes against his fingers. "We do stand." But well… she tended to hover. It was easier that way. But he had a point. Walking had been an all but foreign concept to her in her youth. She had flown everywhere. Danced in the air, too. They could sit down in chairs, and sleep in beds, but their feet rarely made purchase with the ground. At least her's didn't. The elders used their feet more, and their wings less.
Why was she seriously thinking about feet now? She'd have to blame it all on her weird partner.
Her very weird partner.
He still held one of her feet in his hand, examining it again for… something, she didn't know, so with the other, she reached out to nudge his chest. Elvis looked up. "Yes, lass?"
"Are you done?"
"Aye, I think so," he admitted, letting go. "You've got a cute pair of feet there, Adelle."
"S-shut up!" Her feet weren't cute. And yet, while her face warmed at his words, something else warmed in her chest. She wouldn't think about it. Instead, she all but lunged for her boots to tug them back on, ignoring Elvis's laughter in favor of getting fully dressed again.
She'd also ignore anything going on with his lower half. Scholarly interest, her foot.
