Fandom-specific DNWs: Looks mainly inspired by the show. A bit of influence is fine but I would like to see at least some elements not indebted to the show because that's so much harder to find nowadays. Please give your own personal take on these characters -- I'd absolutely love that.

I will never not ship these two. They're so great for fanart too -- big gruff scarred warrior and his tiny Disney princess. Just having them stand next to each other is great. Other ideas: hanging around King's Landing together, medieval/chivalric imagery, Battle of the Blackwater, meeting again, modern AU, sci-fi AU, dog/bird or dog/wolf imagery, Sansa + Sandor + the many dogs they undoubtedly adopt together.

Celes Chere & or / Terra Branford; Ifrit & Shiva: I don't know if you can tell this from this sign-up but I like ice/fire contrasts, and Celes and Terra and Ifrit and Shiva are perfect for that? I like Celes and Terra as platonic foils but I also think they work so well as people processing trauma and figuring out what romantic love is together. Something intimate and tender like hugging/embracing or holding hands, perhaps? If you want, you could also combine these pairs somehow.

Madeline/Maduin: These two give me feelings 😭 A moment along their journey of falling in love, or something with these two plus baby Terra?

Sabin Rene Figaro/Cyan Garamonde (& Gau): I just love this weird little family unit, especially how Cyan finds it right after he's lost his family. Some ideas: Cyan and Sabin sparring together, brushing/braiding the other's hair, any moment where Sabin and Cyan are being dads to Gau.

Things I like about this canon: I like the gems and armor and JRPG inspiration of the general look of the Cephiro. I like the vaguely color-coded characters.

I debated quite a bit which set of characters to request. Then I noticed that all four of Zagato's underlings made my shortlist of favorites so I decided to theme my request around them. I'd be happy to receive any of these characters individually, or any combination of them, or any of them interacting with any other MKR character. In general, I'm a big fan of Shitennou / Four Heavenly Kings as a JRPG/Japanese fantasy trope -- if you want to do a mash-up with any Shintennou-like character in a Final Fantasy game, I'd be up for that. (I also feel like MKR characters map onto Final Fantasy classes nicely, so that's another mash-up idea.)

Alcyone: My favorite MKR character! She may be an obasan but she is hot and I love her design. I vaguely remember in the anime that they did things with her character I wasn't into, though? Please just keep her a badass "o~hohoho" ice sorceress lady with tragically unrequited love for Zagato.

Ascot: Whether a child or adult he is a cutie. Maybe something with his summons or something silly where people react to how tall he is as an adult. I like his relationship with Umi too.

Caldina: Love her bubblegum pink hair and matching personality. Maybe something involving dancing -- doing different styles of dancing or dancing poses or something. I like her relationship with Lafarga but also am happy for either of them to be paired with other characters.

Lafarga: I love loyal knights and I think he is handsome. I also think Lafarga looks a lot like Final Fantasy Adventure's Julius, if you want a random crossover idea.

I just like Rei, okay? And I think Kaworu and Asuka each form nice visual contrasts to her. I enjoy Rei's relationships with them as either platonic or romantic. Some ideas: Rei in plug suit, school uniform, or some other outfit; moon imagery for Rei (possibly combined with sun imagery for Asuka? or ice/fire for these two...); two characters standing side by side, cooperating on a shared task, embracing, or sitting in a train car across from each other.

Old Kingdom - Garth Nix

I love these books and I find the worldbuilding and visual details like Abhorsen uniform and bells really fascinating. I'm always interested in seeing people's takes on what the characters or locations in the world look like.

Lirael is my favorite character! I love the sadness and loneliness of her early life, and how she grows into her role as Remembrancer/Abhorsen-in-waiting. I like her panpipes! I like her and the Disreputable Dog getting into adventures (trouble!) together. I like her artificial golden hand (could work nicely as a crossover with Jaime Lannister or Luke Skywalker). I like the cute awkward puppy love thing she had going on with Nick and would be interested in anything shippy or cute between them. The part in the book where she's in the boat with Nick/Orannis at the Red Lake is one of my favorites, as is Lirael in the Ninth Precinct of Death. I'm also interested in some visual worldbuilding, drawing what Charter magic symbols or the bells look like.

One thing I love about these comics is the changing art styles/getting to see the same characters rendered in different ways from issue to issue, the in-universe mechanic that the Endless appear differently to people, and the way the Endless have existed throughout history. I feel like this is very good for fanart: pick a time, pick a place, pick an art style, and show me what they'd look like. I also think that Desire's androgyny is really fun to play with too. I'd love to see what you come up with.

Brunt & Gaila & Leck & Nog & Quark & Rom: The Magnificent Ferengi! Would love to see something cute like a fake movie poster, Western-inspired outfits, wanted posters, or anything that highlights their different personalities/vibes. Maybe like little cartoon heads?

Brunt & or / Quark: Every piece of art featuring these two, I have loved so much -- let me try to explain why. Brunt and Quark are really perfect foils/mirrors for each other -- they're about the same power level, they both have almost been Grand Nagus at a couple of points, they're both engaged in more-or-less the same Ferengi game, moreso than other Ferengi you see. And yet there's enough contrasts between them in their personality and demeanor and bearing to give them a real visual contrast. I like them as platonic foils but I also think they both have canonically displayed interest in/attraction to the other and so would be interested in something with a romantic air too. That said, for these two, I prefer a dysfunctional or semi-antagonistic romantic relationship rather than something predominantly fluffy or sweet.

Odo/Quark: My OTP! Anything romantic -- something sweet and fluffy, flirting or having sexual tension with each other, smut, whatever!

Odo, Quark, general notes: I also like these characters individually and find their looks/general vibe cool. Would love any kind of solo depiction/portrait. I enjoy alien redesigns that imagine what Star Trek races could have looked like if not constrained by budget/practicality, which works great for drawn art if that's a direction you want to go -- applies for Odo, Quark, and any other Ferengi character I'm requesting. Or put them in an outfit that they haven't worn in canon? (Quark/all Ferengi deserve all the ostentatious outfits in the world, and Odo could use some pushing out of his boring uniform comfort zone.) Or a screencap redraw in your style could be fun!

I nominated these under Sword of Mana, but I dig their original Seiken Densetsu / Adventures of Mana designs too, so feel free to go with those. Or mash up/combine the two? I like any combination of these characters too. Some ideas: Just, like, a portrait; a moment/scene from the game; any character interacting with a spirit; a moment from any of their childhoods/period growing up.

Okay I'm requesting all the main characters. I enjoy each of them! I'd love to see something inspired by the tiny pixel art (as opposed to the remake designs) -- in particular, all these characters get gear throughout the game (e.g. Kevin's martial arts gi and furs, Charlotte's ridiculously cutesy monster costumes, Angela's dresses, robes, and bikinis, Duran and Riesz's various kinds of armor, Hawkeye's capes) that doesn't really get conveyed in art, but they look cool. Also, all their classchange looks too! Other ideas: Older/postgame looks. Characters using magic/techs.

These are various pairings I ship. For the pairwise combinations of Angela, Duran, and the Crimson Wizard, I like the bickering/tension between them. You can also play with the way they serve as foils for each other: Angela vs. Crimson Wizard (good magicless mage vs. evil magicless mage), Angela vs. Duran (bratty princess vs. uncouth knight), and Duran vs. Crimson Wizard (cocky warrior vs. cocky mage).

Charlotte & or / Kevin: I just think these two are cute and both on the same (weird) wavelength. Maybe them interacting with some of the monsters of the world or Vuscav or Flammie.

Hawkeye/Riesz: Maybe something cheesy like Hawkeye holding a rose between his teeth. (I just like Hawkeye's cheesy flirtation meeting Riesz's bashfulness.)
