Oh wow, I really liked reading your book reviews here! I've never read anything by Orson Scott Card given how problematic he can be but at least the book you read sounds somewhat interesting at some points, if nothing else.

The Infinite and the Divine might be my favorite review of the bunch, if only because the premise sounds interesting and I loved the reactions/thoughts of you and your partner as you progressed! :D

...Yeah, it sounds like I can safely skip the third one based on both you and your partner's reactions to it. XD

It's a shame The Big Game got bogged down by its sci-fi elements, as the poker murder mystery romp sounds like a pretty neat angle for the DS9 setting. That's pretty neat that it was written by a married duo of authors using a penname too! :)

But I guess that would have only involved a much smaller subset of characters, and I did like the ensemble focus here. It kind of makes me want to write a fic like that, with A, B, and C plots featuring the whole main cast of DS9 -- I've never tried that before in fanfiction!
~That tended to be a lot of the fanfic I've written in the past actually. I quite love it because usually for fandoms I enjoy the entire ensemble cast so getting to explore them more in fic form is really neat, though it can also make your fic writing efforts feel rather overwhelming at times too depending on your energy levels and everything. It's definitely a neat concept to experiment with in terms of writing though! :D
