Yeah, I too am a bit more wary of the term "content creator" -- that one feels too tied up with the monetization/grind/influencer parts of the internet, and I just don't really think of myself as a content creator. It just feels like a lot of work to me, and I much prefer the simpler term of "fan" to describe myself!
But yeah, I'm glad I'm not the only one a bit *headscratch* at the antipathy toward labeling one's fannish outputs collectively as "content." And yeah, I can see how "outputs" can sound academic too. Thanks for the thoughts!
