And yeah, I do hope for spaces with less visibility. I guess I'm worried that it's always tempting (even without advertising/commercial reasons) for people to post their work in the most public/centralized/visible places (e.g. AO3, Tumblr, or Twitter as opposed to DW) just because that's where the people and attention are. I know for me it's hard to eschew posting to those sites entirely because I like the attention/engagement/feedback I get. I guess that's not terrible, but I do hope people (including me) learn how to be more okay with less response in exchange for more privacy and more personal & humanizing interactions. And with that, allow smaller and less visible spaces to thrive alongside the more public archives like AO3.
